Ed's current role as President of the Ron Jon Surf Shop® organization, which includes the largest surf shop in the world, would be enough to qualify him as an invaluable asset to the Surfparks team. But Moriarty provides a two-for-one combo, backed by a 22-year career as an Executive for Disney World Resorts and Theme Parks.
His Disney tool-kit runs deep, as Moriarty led many aspects of resort, park, and entertainment management and innovation through his career. While at Ron Jon®, Moriarty has mastered the art of appealing to both hardcore and aspiring surfers, a skill that will certainly be required in the operation of Surfpark facilities.
Moriarty has been instrumental in the development of the retail and marketing components of the Orlando Surfpark, and a Surfpark/Ron Jon® partnership at the pilot Orlando facility guarantees Surfparks an unrivaled retail experience and the powerhouse marketing resources of one of the most visible brands in Florida.
